Keep in mind: A checklist improves consistency but does not replace qualified supervision, required inspections, testing, permits, or technical specifications.
Evidence-quality review
Reviewing images and records while work remains accessible can catch missing context, unreadable measurements, incomplete areas, or undocumented substitutions before correction becomes disruptive.

How can it affect project cost?
A concise digital record should require modest administrative time when planned into the workflow. Formal surveying, laboratory testing, engineering, extensive quality-control reports, or third-party inspection are separate services. The record's value comes from useful evidence, not page count.

- Taking many close-up photographs without dates, locations, measurements, or stage labels
- Recording material names but not quantities, areas, or where each product was used
- Waiting until project completion to reconstruct concealed work from memory
- Presenting photographs as proof of compaction, drainage capacity, or compliance they cannot establish

- Which construction stages and concealed features will be documented before work begins?
- Will the record identify products, quantities, locations, dates, and useful reference measurements?
- Which tests or acceptance demonstrations are included, and what can each one prove?
- When and in what format will I receive the complete closeout package?
